Design Inspiration
Set against the broader, more robust silhouette of the male figure is the lighter, more slender form of the female figure. This pair of sculptures was conceived as a complement: each one completes the other, and together they suggest the act of inhabiting a space, echoing human presence. Mona also recalls the work of great sculptors such as Brancusi and Giacometti, through a bold and simplified reinterpretation.
